“Beirut in Black and White” Inspired from “Manhattan”
“Beirut in Black and White” is a short film directed by the Lebanese Film maker Marie-Louise Elia.
This short film is inspired from Woody Allen’s film “Manhattan” talks about Karim who is looking for his fiancée – who abandoned him on their wedding day – in the neighborhoods of Beirut. Through his interior monologue, we discover the love/hate relationship he has with Beirut (and his fiancée) and his mixed feelings towards both of them. He is constantly distracted by his thoughts and eventually becomes wanted nationwide.
